I have created a data access page.  I'm have trouble getting the data to
update in the table.  It show the update  on the page but the change does not
translate into the table.  When I make a change in a text box the data i
entered remains in the text box when I navigate between records.   When I
close out of the page and go back in the change was not saved.

Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Sounds as if the textbox is not bound to a field in the page's Recordset.

I am sorry to post here...I have registered for the net account and it still
will notlet me start a new post...My question is that when I use a a form
with the built in recordset control is that I get a new record when I just
try and browse through the database, however if I open it in the datasheet
view this behavior does not happen...I have tried evrything I can think of
and I need to solve this problem so help I can get would be very appreciated,
I don't want to have to use visual basic and design a from and controls to
solve this issue.  I fyou can tell me why I cannot post a new thread here it
would be appreciated.

Am I correct that your question is not related to this thread? That you
posted here because of a problem with the web browser for the newsgroup
setup? I do not use the web browser to access the newsgroups, so I am unable
to suggest an approach.

As for your question, are you saying that the form shows only a new record
and not the existing data? If this is correct, the form's Data Entry
property may be set to Yes; change it to No.
