Access 5?
SQL Server 5?
Windows 2000 (hidden 5)
Windows XP (hidden 5.1)

Jet 4.0 (SP8) (vbg)

OK when is the Jet 4.0/SQLS2000 hybrid going to be announced/released as Jet
5.0, or 6 or 7?

I'll even accept it as Jet 12. (g)

Cinqophobia or what? What?

You missed it, Craig! :-) Look in your I386 and/or System32 folder for
JET500.DLL.

(Relax, everyone - it's not *our* Jet, this one is used by the OS, not by
Access).

Perhaps we'll get Jet 4.0 (SP9), followed by Jet 4.0 (SP9.1). Or maybe we'll
get Jet 4.1, or Jet 4.0a, who knows! :-)

I wonder what they'll call the version of Access that comes after Access
12 - d'you think they're superstitious? :-)

Well, in numerology 5 is an active number representing change. So YES,
Microsoft is VERY afraid of change.  :-).
