Help!!  Access 2003- I have a data base that was copied from another
computer.  I can make changes on my computer.  (the read only box is not
checked).  I am on an local network of 5 computers.  All the computers are on
XP.  The other four users cannot make changes to this data base through the
network.  Any ideas????

Hi, Melissa.

Do all the users have "Full Control" Windows security permissions on the
directory where the database file is located?  They need to in order to not
lock each other out.  For more information on Access databases in a
multiuser environment, please see the following Web page for a link to the
article, "Multiuser Databases":

http://www.Access.QBuilt.com/html/articles.html

Also, to prevent corruption and have the best database performance in a
multiuser environment, the database should be split so that a copy of the
front end of the database (forms, queries, modules, et cetera) is located on
each user's workstation, and the back end (tables and relationships) of the
database is located on the network.  For more information on split
databases, please see the following Web page:
