With adding a column in a table

Is there a way to add the number of yes/no's in a yes/no
column that produces a check mark on yes - if so can you
please help me with how to do this.  Thank you

To count the number of Yes records in a field named MyYesNo in a table named
MyTable, use:
   = - DSum("MyYesNo", "MyTable")

Access stores Yes as -1, and No as 0.
Summing the field therefore gives the negative of the count.

Or use the DCount function with a suitable criterion:

 DCount("*", "MyTable", "MyYesNoField=TRUE")
