I have a database that has active & inactive names I
cannot separate them.  Is there a way to color the row
that is inactive.  I have tried but the whole database
changes to the color I choose.. Any other suggestions
would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

Have you tried using a form and conditional formatting?
