Design View of Tabbed Screen

Am working in an Access tracking program at my office. I have to go through
several levels to finally get to the cost information on a tabbed screen
behind the main screen. I am able to view the design view of the main
screen, but not any of the tabbed screens behind this main screen. I
urgently need to view the Desisgn View of this tabbed financial section;
however, I cannot locate it. Could someone please help me? Thanks.

We're not there ... we can't see what you are trying.

Please explain what you mean by "go through several levels", and "a tabbed
screen behind the main screen".

Either your tab control is contained on your main screen, or it is in a
"screen" (in Access, they are called "forms") of its own.

When I said "several levels" I do the following steps to access the financial
information. From the main menu, I press an "MSP Maintenance" button, I then
press an "MSP Search" button, then a search dialog box comes up and I enter a
project number to pull up specific project information. I then have a
"Project Information" screen, which has three tabs at the top of the screen,
which each pull up another screen, and one of these screens has financial
data. I want to view the design view of this financial screen but have not
been able to locate it. I can easily pull up the design view of the first
general "Project Information" screen, however. When I look in the Forms
section to see if the design view could be there for this tabbed screen, a
dialog box comes up asking for parameters. I don't know what it is asking
for, so I bypass it and all I can pull up is a blank screen.

could mean just about anything.

If you can "easily pull up a design view" for one of the forms, how do you
do that?

How do you "look in the Forms section"?

The reason I can easily pull up a design view for the screen I mentioned is
because it is a table, not a form. I select the design view icon. The info
I need is a tabbed screen behind this screen. When I stated I was "looking
into the Forms Section", I meant I selected the Forms option on the main
database menu and looked for the form which I thought might be some type of
subform. One form I selected brings up a dialog box asking me to "Enter
Parameter Value." Since I don't know what it wants, I just bypass this box,
and I come up with the tabbed screens in which I am interested; however, the
screens are blank.

Based on your descriptions so far, I would recommend that you spend some
additional time familiarizing yourself with Access before attempting to
modify a "live" application.

I hope you are making backup copies of what you've been working on.

I'm confused again. A table is a table, not a form. What do you mean by
"screen"?

If you are in Design mode, what is it you are designing? From your
explanation, it is a table, not a form. I don't understand "behind this
screen". How do you know that the screen (?form) you want is "behind"
something?

"Select the Forms option..." -- does that mean you selected the tab that
shows the forms? Did you use "the main database menu" or a tab? Where is
the tab located? Which version of Access are you working with?

When you say you select a form, what is the name of that form? How are you
selecting it? Are you highlighting it and selecting the Design mode button,
or are you "opening" the form? Based on your description, it sounds like
you are just opening the form.

If you are being prompted for a parameter, is there a chance that the form
is supposed to be opened from another form that passes that parameter? Is
there a main menu form, or a switchboard form?

Again, I would urge you to spend more time learning Access before trying to
diagnose this application.
