Hello,
I'd like to add another field to my table and for whole
field to have all the same entry, namely the
number "1".  How can I do this?  (I know how to add a
field-- just need to know how to give it all the
same entry.)

Thank you in advance,
Ellen

Two ways: you can either set the DEFAULT value of the field set to "1"
(only if you are using ADO, since the older versions of Jet accessed by DAO
don't have the DEFAULT clause); or you can do a simple

"UPDATE mytable SET mynewfield = 1;"

Hope that helps.
