Is it possible to change the alignment of text/numbers in
a table? the reason that i ask is someone i know (not me,
honest!)has designed a data base table and the text is
right aligned!

Thanks in advance

Michael

Yes, Michael, it can be done by putting an Asterisk and a space in the
Format property of a Text type field in the table's design view.  Access
will then change this to **.

IMO, this is one of those things that could be classified as a "cheap
trick".   As this format is "sticky" and propagates to Forms and Reports,
you will spend a lot of time re-setting the alignment back to Left or
General.

Thanks for that, it was a great help.  Just out of
interest, is it possible to centre align text?

Thanks

Not that I know of.  All formatting should be done on forms and reports.
