I have used the ADE to package an application.  Works very well.

However, I just rolled out the next update of the package and I had to
uninstall the original package before I could install the update.

Will this be a requirement forever?  Is there a work-around - perhaps some
kind of deinstall script?

Thanks

Dayton,

There should be no uninstall/reinstall.  Installing updates should only
replace the database not the Runtime.  Perhaps the below by Albert Kallal
will help...

Also, your application should be split, if is it isn't read this...

And when you have updates*** to the Front End use this...
