Icon on View but Greyed - will not work

In Form Design my Sorting and Grouping Icon is there but greyed out and will
not work - an essential icon this!

I have even re-installed Access 2003 but the problem persists.

Any ideas how I can get this back?

Sjtassociates,

Are you sure you mean Form Design... I could be wrong but that icon applies
to Reports.
