I have a stand alone server on just a workgroup with an
Access 2000 database. When I try to open the database from
a workstation on a domain, not workgroup, I get an error
that the database is read-only. I have the permissions set
for everyone to have full access yet what seems to be
happening is that it can't create the lock file on the
share of that server where the database is located. Also,
I have a Data Access Page and though I can access that
again, I'm unable to write to it as it is read-only.

Any ideas?

TIA,

Todd

have you checked the folder security? sometimes when the propagate permissions is checked, then what ever the top folder is, will flow down into the folders, and that does include the database.
