Yes, which is what I said in the original post.

If it is I can't find it and I know my way around.

What? Access Runtime IS a standalone product. The reason for Runtime is so
you don't have to have the full version of MS Access on the computer to run
access applications. You just can't get to the database objects. (tables,
queries, forms, reports) for design modifications.
I have been using Access and Runtime for years on different platforms. I
just want to know how to disable the Access 2007 Trial included in MS Office
2007 SBE so I can use Runtime for applications that do not need backend
manipulation.

Your wording was ambiguous. Which is what I was trying to point out.

Ok, then maybe Microsoft has changed how it works in this last
version. I may very well be wrong.

Someone else is going to have to help you out there then.

Hi Phil,
I not not have Access 2007. But I believe Tony's right about this one.

Is it possible the you have miss something the the window of the Office setup
or the Control Panel's Add or Remove Program?
Here's how to remove the features for Office 2000.
In the old version Access 2000, go to Control Panel – Add or Remove Program –
select the MS Office 2000 – Click Change.
When office setup starts, click the Add or Remove Features button, in the
setup you’ll see a list of install application, click on the box with a icon
like “Harddisk”, select the “ X Not Available “ then click the “Update Now”
button.
It may not be the same of for Office 2007, but I hope it can help you to
understand the steps and procedure of removing Office features.

You don't just install the runtime (especially not from the download) and
expect it to allow you to open MDB files.
The runtime product is intended to be used in conjunction with the
"developer" edition of Access to create a package that can be installed by
users who don't already have Access installed.
You cannot simply download the runtime and expect to be able to open any MDB
file you want (although once you've installed a properly packaged
application and have the runtime on your computer, you then can open other
MDB files)
