How can I download access 2003 for free I cannot afford to buy the program
because I am a struggling older student trying to send to sons to college

Marva,

There is no free download of Microsoft Access in any version.  You can
dowload a trial version of the 2007 Suites but since I've never done it I'm
not sure how long it's good for or whether you get a fully operational
version.

Send your sons to the college bookstore and see if they have the educational
version of Access2003. You should be able to get it for around $50. You
might alternatively send them to the computer department or math department
at the college to see if they upgraded to Access2007 and would have a copy
of Access2003 they would sell to you cheaply. Finally, try EBay to see what
you find.

If they upgraded to Access 2007, then they no longer have a license for
Access 2003.

Upgraded such as they bought Office2007. They would then have a license for
2003 and 2007. They could sell 2003 cheaply and transfer the license.

Not according to Microsoft's licensing department, which I had to call about
such matters.

I would think it depends on whether you bought an upgrade version of Office
2007, or a full version.

I think we're just arguing semantics here. <g>
