why can't install word with the same code?

i have the whole office cd with the code. I can't start any application but
word and the wizard keeps asking for the code. Apparently it is not the same
as the one on the box. Can anybody help me?

Which Office? What "code"? What "wizard"? What is the one on the box?

What "windows"? What other applications?

There are hundreds if not thousands of MS products, versions, and
combinations. You may know what you're referring to, but how can we know?

What error or "asking" message, exactly and precisely? In what? (copy the
words verbatim, do not post an image) All you have told us is "Office doesn't
work".

My "main" system is Access 2002 (10.4302.4219) SP-2,
running under Windows 98 release 1,
I think...
