install access 97 on windows xp

I'm trying to install Access 97 on a Windows XP machine -
When I attempt to start Access after installing it I get a
message saying it isn't registered.  Can Access 97 be
installed with XP?

Clipper,

Access 97 will run just fine on a Windows XP box.

If the error message you are seeing is:  "Microsoft Access can't start
because there is no license for it on this machine.", the problem is due to
a misbehaving font, the fix is relatively easy and explained at the
following link:
