I have recently reimaged my pc with XP (new install) and Office 2000.  Now everytime I launch Access the Windows Installer runs  before Access is opened and there are no wizards available anywhere (reports, queries, etc...) . I tried a custom install,  from the disk and the Add-ins (recommended by the help file, with no luck.

Hi,

Are you running into the issue noted in ACC2000: Nothing Happens When You
Try to Start a Microsoft Access Wizard
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;242218

You may also be encountering an issue with Windows Installer registry
entries where you will need to run Windows Installer Cleanup utility to
repair any damaged registry entries and then reinstall Office.

First try the above article.  Should that not be related go to the site
http://support.microsoft.com and search for "msicuu.exe".  You'll find
information on Windows Installer Cleanup utility.

I hope this helps!  If you have additional questions on this topic, please
respond back to this posting.

"Microsoft Security Announcement: Have you installed the patch for
Microsoft Security Bulletin MS03-026?  If not Microsoft strongly advises
you to review the information at the following link regarding Microsoft
Security Bulletin MS03-026
<http://www.microsoft.com/security/security_bulletins/ms03-026.asp> and/or
to visit Windows Update at <http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/> to install
the patch.  Running the SCAN program from the Windows Update site will help
to insure you are current with all security patches, not just MS03-026."
