How can I password just one table in my database ?

Hi, My Access 2003 sp1 database currently has no need for a password
and resides on a non networked PC. I am adding a table for some
confidential data and would like to have that table password
protected. Can I do this within that dbase ?

Not within a Jet database. Besides, confidential data or data that needs
security should never be stored in a Jet database, because it's not secure.

However, you can install a free version of one of the major database
engines, such as SQL Server 2005 Express or Oracle 10g Express, and store
the confidential data in a secure table there. Then provide the users with
an Access form where they type a User ID and password. If the user provides
a valid User ID and password, then link to the table in SQL Server or
Oracle. The user can then open the table. After the user is finished,
ensure that the code deletes the link to the secure table, so that the next
user has to provide a valid User ID and password to link to the table again.
