Data in tables stored on Hard Drive

Ok this is probably a stupid question. Is data stored in a table stored
somewhere on the PC's hard drive.  I assume not but wanted to ask to be sure.

The data is stored in the MDB (or MDE) file.

Well,
wherever the data in any particular circumstance is held, might be a security
question, Doug.

The question does not indicate a bona-fide developer, does it?

The data can be stored anywhere.
