I recently placed a wireless network in my home and purchased a laptop with
Vista Home Premium installed. I installed Office Xp and SP3. I shared the
folders I needed on the desktop (XP Pro SP2). The problem is that I can open
all other Office files across the network except Access dbs. I receive a
messasge that Access Security will not allow me to open file because of
untrusted site or unsecure network (do not remember the exact description, at
work now). I must copy the file from the desktop to the laptop to open the
file.

Any suggestions on why this occurs and how to correct it?

You need to add the other computer to your trusted sites in the Intranet
zone in the Options in IE.
Use \\computername\path

Thanks - I assumed it would be something simple (they usually are).
