A million questions similiar to this but here's mine.  Have an Access file on
our server that's been mine to work on until this past week; a new employee
has come in to do some of the inputting in the file.  When we both open the
file to work in it & I try to save my work I get the "must have exclusive
access" message because another user has opened the file.  Simple answer?
Been right clicking on the file in explorer to view properties & change what
folks are allowed to do, I'm I on the right track?   Thanks

No.  First off, make sure that your app is set to open in shared mode
(Tools, Options, Advanced).  Next, split your database and give each user
their own front end (search the help for "split database" if this is new to
you).

Regards,
Keith.
