First, I could not get to Design mode. Then I opened my date base while
clicking on Shift. Now, I can make the changes I want to make but Acce does
not allow me to save them. What am I doing wrong?

Is the ReadOnly attribute set on the file?

Do you have network edit permissions on the file/folder?

The file was created by me with the help of someone esle about 2 years ago. I
did'nt do changes to the data base since then but I need to do so now and I
am far from being an expert on Access.

How would I know if I have network edit permissions on the file/folder?

Do you get a Read Only warning when you open the file?  If you only had read
permissions you ordinarily would get this.

Can you edit data?
