I do not have security set up on my Access database (for various reasons).
There are times when I want to make a quick design change, but can't because
someone has the database file open. Is there a way for me to find out the
windows userid that has the db open? I know that when I try to do a "Compact
and Repair" I get an error message telling me the coputer name that has the
database open--but what I really need is the userid.
Thank you for your help,
Judy

Thank you so much! This is exactly what I needed. I just do not have the
knack for searching the Microsoft Knowledge Base (I searched for userid and
found nothing).
Thank you very much for replying!
