I am currently using Windows firewall. I notice that its shutdown by itself
periodically. What can I do to stop this?

I'd suggest asking in a newsgroup related to Windows XP, or perhaps
microsoft.public.windows.networking.firewall

This newsgroup is for questions about security in Access, the database
product that's part of Office Professional.
