My office currently works with a database that was designed by someone who
has long since left the organization.  It contains two separate databases in
which the tables are linked.  One database holds the information, the other
is what is utlitized to access that information.  Our problem is that we need
to access the database tables that hold the information but we are stumped
when we enter the password the following appears "this database contains
tables for use in another database, normal users exit now"  and then there is
a button to click to exit.    how do we by pass this so that we can update
those tables?  any help would be appreciated

Make backups of everything before beginning.

Then try holding down the Shift key *right* after putting in the password.
Sounds like an AutoExec macro has been set up.
