Password on db exit

Why am I required to enter my password when closing an Access database -
didn't need to do this in the past - now the password is needeed to both open
and clsoe the database

Hi.

To get rid of the requirement to provide the password when you close the
database application, select the Tools menu -> Options to open the Options
dialog window.  Select the "General" tab and uncheck the "Compact on Close"
option.  Select the "OK" button to save your change.
