I wold like to convert a .net front end time sheet application to Access
2007.  I currently have one table that tracks the records.  This application
is tied into anothe r table that populates a pull down menu for people to
select a particular project. A strong reporting function is essential.  I
need to be able to run reports by employee and by project.  Currently the
database is Access 2003

Thank you

Okay, so what is the question?

My apologies,

The question is can Access provide me the same functionality when it comes
to customized reporting without having to use .net

Certainly.  Access has a very good report writer.  It may take some
experimenting to get used to it, but it is very powerful.  You can do
calculations within the report.  When necessary, you can incorporate user
defined functions.  It also has a very good sorting and grouping feature that
allows ordering your report to suit your needs as well as the ability to
provide headers and/or footers by group.
