I have read in thie forum that you can change a line into dashes and the the
the font to Courier New. Could someone tell me how to do this. There are only
2 choices on the toolbar: / and a box,how do edited them to change to dashes
in the detail section of a report.?

Is it possibe to use the OnFormat in the detail section to change these two
items?

What that suggestion means is that you delete the line control entirely and
replace it with a TextBox having a ControlSource that is a bunch of underscore
or dash characters.   When exported this will give the appearance of a line or
dashed line.
