Hi

I want people from different location to add their record in 1 database.
The connection is through Internet (no LAN).
I found that an mdb file can not have 2 master files.
What should I do then?
Can you append your recods on the remote database with Replication or ASP is
a must?

Replication allows data to be entered in multiple locations. A design master
is only needed for SCHEMA changes. So your scenario should work.

Thanks Michka

But in this case when the remote user is entering data and replicates with
the database which is located on the server, the remote user gets empty
tables (meaning that data flows from server to remote replica).

My understanding is that replication direction is from Master to replica
(cause when I replicate database, Access asks file location of master
design, and I can only indicate 1 file).

So can you give me a hint how can I create several databases which are
appending data into 1 mdb file?

Thansk again

In a normal Jet replica set, data flows BOTH ways after synchronization. Are
you deleting data in one and not expecting it to be deleted in the other?

Your understanding us incorrect. You can create as many replicas as you
like, and any replica can sync with any other.

Again, think in terms of all data flowing in BOTH directions. You can create
as many replicas as you want.
