Just posted a different Q, but here's another ...

When I make certain tables and queries hidden in the Design Master, they
still come out unhidden when I make replicas of the DM.

I've just been getting object properties and checking the "hidden"
attribute.

Is there something else that needs to be done to maintain the "hidden-ness"
of queries and tables in replicas?

I'm using Access 2002/XP.

Thanks for any info you may have to offer!

Perhaps the hidden attribute is not replicated. I don't really know.

Of what real use is the hidden attribute, anyway? Assuming, of
course, that you're replicating only the back end, why would you
want to hide anything? Users should never open the back end
directly, in any event, so what is the need to hide anything from
them?

I don't see any point in attempting to hide anything in a back end
data file.

If it's in the front end, then it oughtn't be replicated in the
first place.
