Has anyone seen this one. I've created a personal
database on my laptop at home (Windows XP Pro w/ Office
XP Pro). I replicated it onto a zip disk. I made the
replica on the zip disk the Design Master (and my copy on
the hard drive @ home is the replica). When ever I open
the replica on the HD, it says "Replica" in the title
bar. Like wise, When I open the DM from the zip disk, it
says "Design Master". When ever I'm working with the DM
@ home, I hear it writing to the zip disk. When I take
my zip disk to my school lab (Access 2002 (unsure if it
is stand alone or part of Office) and same OS (but also
Access 2002 on earlier versions of Windows)) and try to
open up the DM, it opens up as a replica and I can't make
design changes. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thank you,
Conan Kelly
Hey, I just notice something that might be the cause.
Along with "Replica" in the title bar of what should be
my DM, it says "(Access 2000 file format)". I'm going to
see if I can convert it and see if that solves the
problem.

You are doing "illegal" moves
The DM is losing that designation when it gets a new replica ID.
check the Trigeminal site for an explanation of why what you are doing is a
nono.
