Has anyone built their own replication/synchronisation to allow
emailing of changes between replicas and a master.

In another post Cheval said it's not too difficult to build your own
replication - a process I'm carrying out at the moment. Are there any
tips/guidelines/resources that anyone would recommend?

This link is along the lines of a build your own. The problem isn't the
ability to create your own, it is the time needed to test and support it.
Eg. How do you handle multiple emails from legit sources? I can think of
dozen's of rules for potential scenarios, but test and checking that they
all are followed would be a nightmare. What about spam and viruses?  The
list goes on.

This is why I'm also one of the people who is waiting on MS to provide email
replication support. I can see how they could easily integrate it into
Outlook with locked down security and integrity checking, but there might be
a rather huge outcry from non-Outlook users.
