Hi
I am new with Replication
I develop Now the Microsoft Server 2000 Replication
And I chose Snapshot type for replication
All I need to copy Part of db from Publisher via distributor to
Subscriber
I tried with Windows xp pro
with sql server
and I want to do puplisher and distributer at the same server
But the problem that I could net configure it due a lot of error
message
From SQL Enterprise
__
That is list of error
Error 1:SQL Server Agent on 127.0.0.1 currently uses the system
account
which cause replication between servers to fail
// Hint I created new local account and gave it all Administration
Group
then did not recognize new acount
Error 2:the new service startup account name you have supplied
is invalid or dose not exist
Error 3:Error 18483 could not connect to server IWS-DEV because
'distributer_admin'
is not defined as a remote login at the server
Last Message before error:
configure '127.0.0.1' as a Publisher. Use '127.0.0.1' as
the Distributor.
Configure the SQL Server Agent service on '127.0.0.1' to
start automatically when the computer is started.
Use 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL
Server\MSSQL\REPLDATA' as the root snapshot folder
for Publishers using this Distributor.
Store the distribution database 'distribution'
in C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL\Data'.
Store the distribution database log file in 'C:\Program
Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL\Data'.
Enable the following databases on '127.0.0.1' for merge
replication:
pubs
Please if any one try with replication
Tell me How I configure the Server as Publisher and distributor and
finally little subscribers
Regards
Any one can help me and tell me How step by step to configure the db
