Is there anyway of created a query................

and select the critera from the choices in a field.  

I know creating a search Parameter [What Carrier?], but the problem is that
the person doing the query has to spell everything right and that is a
challenge. I rather have him just pick from the choices already in the field.

IMHO parameter prompts in queries are never proper user interface
http://www.tek-tips.com/faqs.cfm?fid=6763. Use a combo box or other control
on a form for users to select your criteria.
