I have a subform that creates an unbound text box based on user questions.
It creates a document format  that I want it to query on using the "like"
expression in the criteria so the criteria reads:
Like ("[Forms]![FormName]![Text17]*").

So far that doesn't happen.  If I type in the actual text:
Like ("EG-PGF-*")
I get what I'm looking for.  Can what I want to do be done?

Thanx in advance.

    Like [Forms]![FormName]![Text17] & "*"
