For some reason for the last month or so, when I elect to compose a message,
I get a word form and there is no "Send e-mail" selection in the file
section.  I do not want Word, and I do not use Outlook Express.  Please tell
me someone: what to do?

Your question is not very clear, and I'm not sure why you posted it as a
"suggestion".

This newsgroup is for questions about creating queries in Microsoft Access.
Your question does not seem to be related to Access.  What application are
you using?  If it is Microsoft Outlook, then you should post to an Outlook
newsgroup.

My suggestion is to post your question in an appropriate newsgroup.  The
Microsoft web site may have misdirected you to this group, which is for
questions about Microsoft Access, a relational database program.
You say that you do not use OE, and you do not want Word, but the important
information is what you do use (which will tell you in which group to post
your question), and the result you want.  If you are using Outlook you may
have elected to use Word as your e-mail editor (Tools > Options > Mail
Setup), but that's just a guess since I don't know any details.

I don't know why you marked this post as a suggestion for Microsoft, and I'm
not sure why the "send email" suddenly stopped working for you, but it might
be that your OE needs to be reconfigured. If Access can't find a default
email program, I guess it defaults to Word.
