Dear Wilie Loh:

Your question does not supply sufficient details to permit me to understand
the basis for what those potential numbers should be.

One might presume uniqueness is a factor.  However, it is not clear why 2899
would be a potential number for the row 2499 but not for the row 3678.  Or
is it?  How are potential numbers restricted or otherwise based on the value
in that "column in another table."

I hope you can understand why there is little comprehension here of what you
need, and that you can explain it.

Wilie Loh has the same question in Tek-Tips
http://www.tek-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=1206363 with the same level of
understanding from a couple of us trying to help.

Dear Duane:

I expect perhaps you mean the same level of non-understanding.  As in, total
non-understanding.  I have no idea what he wants.  I just hope he can
express himself as to what he needs so someone can help.

To Wilie Loh:  in what language would you be most comfortable?  We may be
able to direct you somewhere that it is easier for you to express yourself.

The other responder in the tek-tips thread is fairly good at guessing
underlying needs and it seems we are all equally confused.
