I have been reading about multi-users and have a prob and
question.

I have a DB on the server that everyone localy (only
local users) have a shortcut to. I have read about
spliting and I am actually getting ready to do that. Will
this make the problem  go away when 2 or more users open
the same record to edit it they get all kinds of errors?
If not what else do I need to do? I don't use usernames
or passwords. All is Access2000, XP Clients, Server2003

TIA

Yes that will solve your problem. Make sure each user has their *own* copy
of the Front End (FE) containg the Forms, Queries and Reports. They will
also all need write access to the folder where the Back End (BE) file
containg the tables resides.

Thanks for the info, though now my switchboard does not
work. It basically just a form with buttons that open
other forms. I'm getting <<Method 'Module' of
object'_Form_YWCA DVC Database' failed>> Any ideas?

Did you link the tables in the BE to your FE? Go to File | Get External Data
| Link Tables, find your BE database. When the box opens Select All.
Redeploy the FE to all users after linking.
