I have a database that is used as a master database that houses employee
information.  Tables in this database link to other databases.  For some
reason this database is READ ONLY until everyone is out of ALL the other
databases that link the tables in the this master.    I need to be able to
update employee info in the Master even if someone is in another database
that has a table linked from this one.

Thoughts?

Normally, this is a file permissions problem. Check
that each user has permission to create and delete the ldb
file in the mdb folder.

But also, how are you doing the linking? You haven't
accidentally coded exclusive links have you?

Not quite sure what you mean by exclusive links?
