Hi,

I have a multi-user database file, which was being used by 30+ users at
anytime for about 6 months, and it has now got corrupted possibly..I
have tried all possible options, to compact, repair, tried to open it a
thousand times, cant even import.

Could someone please help, how i can retrieve the data?

Cheers

For more information on corruption including possible causes,
determining the offending PC, retrieving your data, links, official MS
KB articles and a list of vendors who state they can fix corruption
see the Microsoft Access Corruption FAQ at

Jetcomp might work for you.  Work down that list of things on the web
pages I posted.

Something does not look right.

JetComp says "Can't compact this version of database"

In fact I also tried an application called "Advanced Access Repair
1.1", the demo says the application failed to repair it.

Does this mean that I lost all data in it, I dont feel safe to upload
it on someone's website for repair diagnosis, as it would have some
confidential data in it.

That could very well be an appropriate message.

>Does this mean that I lost all data in it,

There are a few more things you can try at the page on my website on
my previous posting.

That's understandable.   FWIW www.pksolutions.com have been around for
a number of years.

As Tony says, PK Solutions have been around for years. I have dealt with
them personally, and recommend them.

Thanks, I will send them a copy. I want to get to the root cause of
this corruption, am conidering getting away with Jet, and using an SQL
server back-end, that should help..
