Microsoft Access Error accessing file.  network connection May have been lost

I created a database and it was working well untill recently.  I tried
to use a button and it began to give the error message "Error accessing
file.  network connection May have been lost ".  Now, more buttons are
dysfunctional.  I don't know what is wrong and if it can be fixed.  I
need some help fast!

You have not specified what version of Access you are using ...
If you are using Access 2000 .. then see the link below for an explanation
of what causes this and how to stop it from happening in the future.
