Hi!

Till now i have Access 2.0 db xxx.mdb on Novell server and Access 2.
clients on XP workstations. Also I have Access 2003 client with d
yyy.mdb on local workstation, where are the linked tables from xxx.mdb
reports and queries whoes take the date from linked tables. Everythin
works fine until migrate from Novell server to Windows 2003 server (al
permitions are taken from Novell - and now for all users are set "ful
access" to db and all directory). All users with Access 2.0 client ca
open and work with xxx.mdb, but if i try to open db yyy.mdb - i can'
run queries or reports - the result is: "Can't open xxx.mdb, db are i
use". And file xxx.ldb on server, with notepad, i can't open too - th
result is: "Access denied". And then users with access 2.0 can't ope
xxx.mdb too. After that, all users must close the Access and open on
more time the db. But i can't say, that Access 2003 users can not ope
the db yyy.mdb with linked tables - if this user opening db first - al
working fine, untill access 2.0 user opening db xxx.mdb. I think- th
problem is with xxx.ldb file. I monitoring the files with "File syste
monitor" and saw - when Access 2003 users run report, macros or querie
on db yyy.mdb, the status of file xxx.ldb is "delete pending". What i
my problem?

Access 2003 does not work well with Access 2.0

Remove DELETE permission from xxx.ldb

In Access 2003, turn off Record Level Locking option.
