Hi, some of my customers have the problem where the 3rd
or 4th users take much, much, much longer to start our application. There is
a front-end mde file and a back-end data file (both in Access '97). The
front-end mde file is started
under Access runtime. This seems to happen when running the back-end data
file on
a network server under Windows 2000.

This has been a real brain teaser. I have looked at a few papers on this but
there are so many 'possibles' I don't no where to start.

So, I'm hoping that someone may recognise this problem and be
able to assist by narrowing this down a little for myself and customers.

Many thanks in advance.

Have you tried the infamous Persistent connection thing:
