"Could not use "path and file name"; file already in use.

I have a front end database installed and running on multiple pc's.  The
back end is on a server.  The application on any given pc will give me
the above error if another has the back end database open.

How do I fix this?  I'm running A2K on Win XP Pro machines.

TIA

Do your users have full Windows permissions to the folder where the backend
lives?

Test this by having the users create a file on the backend share using
notepad.   And then deleting the file.

Ah... there is a problem!  It won't let me delete it.  "Access denied.
The source file may be in use"

How do I correct this.  I'm in a real panic now the client is "somewhat"
displeased.

Opps... I lied.  I set up sharing incorrectly that time.  I can delete
the file and I do get the 3045 error.
