I have an application that is networked on 6 remotes (fe) and one server (be)
running windows xp. My question is usually I run standalone applications and
ruteinly compact my databases but on a network, can I compact and repair on
any remote or do I need to do it on all remotes or only on the server?

Thanks,

Dennis

For the 6 copies of the Front-End, you can set Compact-On-Close. and you
only need to compact the Back-End.

Don,
Best Solution:
Set all fe and be to compact on close.  This will not be a problem for the
be, because it does not close until the last user closes his fe.  It is
possible to compact a be remotely, but a pain in the a.s.
