In a memo field one of my users entered #Deleted, intending to let me know
that the record should be canceled.  Access deleted the record and now a
query I've set up will not work on any records prior to the one that has been
deleted.  Is there anyway to restore the deleted record, or should I enter
that record number as a <> in the criteria of the query?

Thank you.

I am unable to duplicate this.  A record with "#Deleted" is not thought to
be deleted when I test it in Northwinds.

Are you sure the record was not actually deleted?  Have you tried going into
the table and taking out what your user typed?  Have you tried repairing the
database?

I tried removing what the user typed, but it didn't work.  I then tried to
compact and repair the database which resulted in the program crashing.  I
sent the error report to Microsoft, however I'm now unable to open any of the
front ends, I can open the backend and see all existing tables, etc.  but
when I try to open anything I get an invalid argument message.

Luckily, all files are backed up routinely, so I'm having the file restored.
 This sure is frustrating!

Try copying the table structure and appending the records
from the ?corrupted? table.  delete the corrupted table and
rename.  You may have to rebuild the relationships.
