FWIW feel free to email me directly on problems with the Auto FE
Updater.
AFAIK you can't have Access silently long in the user at all. They
have to enter a password. But I admit I know nothing about Access
security.
Hmm, actually what you could try though is the following.
>CommandLine=/wrkgrp "\\wrmsfs1\lib2000$\wrms.mdw"
CommandLine=/wrkgrp \\wrmsfs1\lib2000$\wrms.mdw /user username /pwd
password
You don't need the double quotes as there are no spaces in the wrkgrp
parm.
That won't be very secure though as the password will be visible to
the user and every one would be sharing the password.

Dear Tony:
Thanks a lot! I have sent an email to you privately...
I just thought I might add, here, that it was perhaps a poor choice of words
to suggest that I wanted a "silent" login. What I meant was that I wanted
the User name and password to be automatically entered via the shortcut. I
am aware that this means users will be able to see both the password and the
username, but that's ok, since that user has strictly limited permissions.
Thanks!
