I may be way off base, but we have a shared drive. On my pc and one other pc
we have Access installed. I created a db and placed it on the shared drive.
Now when an individual sits at the other pc and logs into the network, they
can click on the shortcut to the Access db. I did some initial setup of
permissions and passwords for the users. (They know little about
computers/programs).
I would like to make the db on the shared drive "hidden", but other than
logging in as each one of them, and changing their Window's preferences for
Folder options, to [Do not display hidden file] is there another way to
visually hide the file?

More information is needed. What OS are you using? There are ways of
creating hidden shares, but it's dependent on the OS. What file format
are using? NTFS?
