have a user trying to open a DB that i can open no
problem and another user at the same time..

here is the error..

The table 'MSAccessObjects' is already open exclusivly by
anotther user, or it is already open through the user
interface and can not be opened programmitically..

so the user is in it after having some one else close
it... than the other person was able to open it and they
are both working in it ... this is a shared DB so anyone
can get into it .. i was able to open it and the user was
not..

any ideas ?
seems PC specific

Hi, David.

Are you using Access Replication or a Novell file server with file caching
turned on?  This error can occur from both of these situations.

Instead of having all users access the same database file located in a
network shared directory, make sure that the database is split into a front
end and back end.  The back end, which contains the tables and
relationships, would reside in the network shared directory, while a copy of
the front end, which contains the database application objects, such as
forms, queries, and modules, would reside on each user's workstation.  The
front end would link to the tables in the back end.

For more information on split databases, please see the following Web page:
