Hi,

How do I work with an Excel spreadsheet that is password protected from
Access?

Is it possible?

In all likelyhood, I would probably be doing a DoCmd.TransferSpreadsheet to
replace what's there.  But the new file I deposit would need to retain the
same password protection.

Thanks!

Hi Alex,

I actually found your blog on goggle yesterday after the post.

You wouldn't happen to know how I could "deposit" a password-protected file
would you?

Thanks again!

David

Sorry, by deposit, I meant export.

You blog entry allows the import of a password protected file.

How would you export a file and make it password protected?

Hi,
I think the same way - you first create password=protected file, open it in
excel, then export to it.
