Other than the inevitability of Microsoft not supporting Access 2000 forever,
is there any compelling reasons to update a smooth running database written
in Access 2K?

only if you need to use an option that is available in A2003, but isn't
supported by A2000. bear in mind that while users with A2003 on their PCs
can run an A2000 db, users with A2000 won't be able to use a db converted to
A2003 format.
